Labor Day Weekend – Sept 4 – Sept 7
Location: Mallow Camp located between Sundance and Newcastle. Take Hwy 585 if coming from Sundance & Hwy 85 if coming from Newcastle.
Please call Kristy at 307-629-1819 to reserve your camping spots or Hotel rooms.
There are a few sites with power at $40 per night – $5 extra for pets
The rest is dry camping at $20 per night $5 extra for pet.
There is a shower facility and laundry facility available with the camping fee.
For those who do not have a camper, there is a hotel available with room rates around $70 or $80 per night depending on room size.
You will need to get a South Dakota OHV sticker if you would like to ride in the Black Hills. Information is below.
Required Purchases & Documents:
- Non-Resident OHV Decal:
- Cost: $25 (plus mailing fee) if you are interested in having someone from the Gillette Elks Lodge pick up your sticker, please visit with Vi Nodland at the State Convention. We will need your name, phone number and $25.00.
- Where: South Dakota County Treasurer’s Office or online via the SD DOR website (Form 1030).
- When: Before riding on public lands/trails.
- Proof of Ownership/Insurance:
- Your Wyoming title or registration.
- Or, proof of insurance if your state doesn’t title/register them.
- Personal Identification:
- Your Driver’s License.
- Proof of your Social Security Number.
